Frequently Asked Questions

I answer some of my most frequently asked questions

    Window Cleaning - FAQ

  • How do I get a quote?

You can call, text, WhatsApp, or email me, or use the contact form on the website. I aim to respond the same day.

  • Why is my first window clean more expensive?

If your windows have not been cleaned in a while even years, they can become very heavily soiled and contaminated with organic growth such as mould and algae or even stained. During the first clean I deep clean the windows, frames and sills using a variety of tools and products where required to ensure the whole window is clean and spotless ready for an ongoing regular maintenance clean. Due to the condition of the windows and the complexity of the cleaning the first clean can take two to three times longer than the regular maintenance clean, so for this reason the first clean is more expensive. After the first clean is completed, I will return on a 4, 6 or 8 week frequency (as required) to conduct the regular maintenance clean, which always includes the windows, frames and sills. During the regular maintenance clean I am ensuring the window is cleaned thoroughly and once again left clean and spotless.

  • How often will you clean my windows?

I clean windows either on a 4 6, or 8 week frequency, as requested by the customer.

  • How do I pay?

After each clean I post a payment card through your letterbox. The payment card has details on how to make payment. Most customers pay Online BACS. I aim to make payment simple and convenient for customers.

  • Can you clean my windows when it is raining?

The short answer is yes. The rain water in most cases is pure like the water I use to clean windows, this means once the window has been cleaned, the rain has stopped and the window is dry, the glass should be clean and spotless as usual. I always let my customers know that in the unlikely event that they are not happy with the cleaning results, then I will always return and clean the windows again free of charge.

  • Do I need to be at home during the clean?

No. As long as I have access to the windows, you don’t need to be at home. I’ll let you know the evening before by text when your windows are due to be cleaned.  i'll also make sure all gates are closed and bolted where possible once i've finished.

  • How do you let customers know before a visit?

I send a text message the evening before each visit so you know when to expect me. If you prefer a phone call or email instead I can do that also.

  • What method do you use to clean windows?

I use a pure water reach and wash system, which safely removes dirt and leaves windows clean and streak free once dry.

  • Do you clean commercial properties?

Yes. I provide window cleaning for small local businesses such as shops, offices, pubs, and salons.

  • Do you clean windows all year round?

Yes. I provide year round window cleaning, weather permitting, to keep windows looking their best in every season.

  • Will the same window cleaner visit every time?

Yes. As a personally owned and run business, I carry out every clean myself, so you’ll always see the same person.

  • What areas do you cover?

I work across Eaton Bray, Edlesborough, Totternhoe, Dagnall, Northall, and surrounding local areas.

  • Do you clean internal windows?

My service focuses on external window cleaning. If you have specific requirements, feel free to ask.

    Conservatory Cleaning - FAQ

  • What is included in your conservatory cleaning service?

I offer a full conservatory external and internal valet service. I wash the exterior with a uPVC degreasing agent removing algae, mildew and general dirt and grime from the roof, gutters and window frames. Purified water is then used for the final clean and rinse ensuring a streak free finish on the glass surfaces. I clean the internal glass with a premium window cleaning detergent using a traditional method. The internal frames are degreased and wiped clean.

  • Can I clean my conservatory roof with a pressure washer?

I would definately not recommend this. Using a pressure washer on a conservatory roof can easily damage window seals and the uPVC structure.

        Solar Panel Cleaning - FAQ

    • How often should I have my Solar Panels cleaned?

I recommend an annual clean for residential solar panels.

    • Will cleaning my Solar Panels increase their power output?

Most certainly the power output of your solar panels will increase after they have been cleaned. My customers who monitor the output from their solar panels often inform me of a significant performance increase after they have been cleaned.
