Driveway / Patio / Decking Cleaning - FAQ
  • How do I get a quotation for cleaning and what is envolved?

To arrange a quotation please contact us either via phone call, text message, WhatsApp, email, or the contact form on the 'Contact Us' page on our website. We will then arrange to visit your property to view and measure the area to be cleaned. During this time, we will discuss the cleaning process with you and answer any questions you may have. We will then leave you with a written quotation. All quotations are free with no obligation and are valid for six months. Some quotations (normally smaller areas) can be done without visiting the property, but we may ask you to send photos showing the area where the cleaning is required.

  • What is the difference between Soft Washing and Pressure/Power Washing?

Pressure/power washing uses a high-pressure jet of water to blast away dirt and debris from the surface that is being cleaned.

Soft Washing uses low pressure with biodegradable chemicals to kill organic growth on the area that is being cleaned.

  • Will Soft Wash chemicals kill my plants and grass?

Soft Wash chemicals can potentially harm all plant life they come into contact with. We have been trained in various methods to prevent chemicals coming into contact with plants and grass, including controlled spraying techniques and correct spray nozzle selection. We also cover plants with sheeting where required and saturate all plant life with water where necessary, diluting any chemical contact. When all these measures are put into place you can be assured your grass and plants will be safe.

  • Will my property be left clean when you are finished?

Pressure washing is a messy job, and inevitably anything close to the cleaning area can be splashed with dirt and grime. We always conduct a complimentary windows, doors and garage door clean where required after pressure washing. We also hose down walls, fences and flowerbeds where required, ensuring your property exterior is left clean. We like to use the motto "We will always treat your property as if was our own!"

  • Do you move items off my drive or patio before you clean it?

We will always move any items where possible off your drive or patio before cleaning. These include flowerpots, ornaments, garden furniture, wheelie bins, etc. We will then put them back in place after the cleaning is completed. As most cleaning jobs are conducted by one-person, larger items that require more than one person to lift cannot be moved by us alone. In this case we ask if the customer can move the item/s prior to us arriving, or if the customer can help us move the item/s. Plans to move items are always discussed during the quotation stage.

  • How does your free cleaning test sample work?

If you would like to know what cleaning results you can expect from us on your drive, patio, path or decking, then we can offer you a small cleaning test sample. The cleaning test sample is conducted in a discrete location of your choice on your drive, patio, path or decking. The test sample is free with no obligation and is done so we can show you the amazing cleaning results that we can achieve.

  • How long will my Driveway or Patio stay clean for?

There are many factors that determine this including proximity to busy roads and large trees, drainage, and exposure to sunlight. Due to these factors, it is difficult to predict how long each surface will stay clean for. After an initial deep clean we offer a maintenance cleaning service which will keep the surface looking good all year round. We always discuss the individual requirements of this with the customer.

  • What is included in your maintenance cleaning service?

After an initial deep clean has been completed we offer a maintenance clean for customers who want to keep their outdoor floor surfaces looking good all year round. Depending on the period of time after the initial clean some pressure washing may be required. We also conduct a biocide treatment that is usually required annually. The biocide has a residual effect, soaking deep into the surface staying active over a period of time killing any new biological re-colonisation including algae spores and lichen. The longevity of the clean is far greater than pressure washing and soft washing alone.

  • Do you offer a sealing service for driveways, patios or decking?

We do not offer a sealing service. We don't believe sealing is an effective way to maintain your outdoor hard floor surfaces, as costs can often outweigh the benefits.

  • Will you re sand my block paved drive after you have cleaned it?

Re sanding is included in our block paving cleaning service. The re sanding is usually conducted the following day after the cleaning when the area has fully dried out. Please note: Sanding can only be done when the block paving is dry. If the area is wet due to rain, then we aim to return ASAP when the area is dry.

  • Will pressure washing my block paving disturb the sand base beneath the blocks?

When cleaning block paving, we use a high-pressure surface cleaner with jets that spray diagonally on the surface. The angle of the jets allows the dirt and debris to be blasted out from between the blocks without disturbing the sand base beneath the blocks.

    Window Cleaning - FAQ
  • Can you clean my windows when it is raining?

The short answer is yes. The rain water in most cases is pure like the water we use to clean windows, this means once the window has been cleaned, the rain has stopped and the window is dry, the glass should be clean and spotless as usual. We always let our customers know that in the unlikely event that they are not happy with the cleaning results, then we will always return and clean the windows again free of charge.

  • Why is my first window clean more expensive?

If your windows have not been cleaned in a while even years, they can become very heavily soiled and contaminated with organic growth such as mould and algae or even stained. During the first clean we deep clean the windows, frames and sills using a variety of tools and products where required to ensure the whole window is clean and spotless ready for an ongoing regular maintenance clean. Due to the condition of the windows and the complexity of the cleaning the first clean can take two to three times longer than the regular maintenance clean, so for this reason the first clean is more expensive. After the first clean is completed, we will return on a 4 or 8-week frequency (as required) to conduct the regular maintenance clean, which always includes the windows, frames and sills. During the regular maintenance clean we are ensuring the window is cleaned thoroughly and once again left clean and spotless.

  • How often will you clean my windows?

We clean windows either on a 4 or 8 week frequency, as requested by the customer.

    Conservatory Cleaning - FAQ
  • What is included in your conservatory cleaning service?

We offer a full conservatory external and internal valet service. We wash the exterior with a uPVC degreasing agent removing algae, mildew and general dirt and grime from the roof, gutters and window frames. Purified water is then used for the final clean and rinse ensuring a streak free finish on the glass surfaces. We clean the internal glass with a premium window cleaning detergent using a traditional method. The internal frames are degreased and wiped clean.

  • Can I clean my conservatory roof with a pressure washer?

We would definately not recommend this. Using a pressure washer on a conservatory roof can easily damage window seals and the uPVC structure.

        Solar Panel Cleaning - FAQ
    • How often should I have my Solar Panels cleaned?

We recommend an annual clean for residential solar panels.

    • Will cleaning my Solar Panels increase their power output?

Most certainly the power output of your solar panels will increase after they have been cleaned. Our customers who monitor the output from their solar panels often inform us of a significant performance increase after they have been cleaned.
